Are you looking for a multi-skilled role that involves order processing and assembling gift packages, then look no further. Here at Hemingways, we are currently looking for Gift Packing Operatives to support our growing, friendly team over our peak periods up to 2024. This is the perfect opportunity to learn something new and join our fun, dynamic team.

Hemingways is a specialist e-commerce, sales and distribution company representing a wide range of major UK and international brands, promoting, and selling their products to consumers and corporate markets. The company employs over 170 people, and over 300 during peak trading. Hemingways is recognised as one of the fastest growing private companies in the North with turnover exceeding £200m.


Main duties-

  • Assembling gift packages, applying high standards of quality, presentation, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace without sacrificing quality and presentation standards.
  • Proactively communicate with colleagues and line leaders about issues, e.g., stock items running low.
  • Ensuring hygiene and housekeeping standard are met and exceeded.
  • Responsible for your health and safety. Plus watching out for the health and safety of others.
  • You will be responsible for your own PPE and the washing of it.
  • Be flexible around working hours, including the weekend shifts.
  • Use of scanning and labelling systems

The contract-

Join us on a 6-month fixed term contract which will run until January 2024. The contract is for full time candidates only and you will be working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

However, in our peak period at Christmas, hours extend to Monday to Friday, plus Sunday's, 8am to 6pm, so the successful candidate must be able to work the extra shifts.


Interview process-

We aim to make our interview process short and swift, so we will arrange a phone call interview to discuss the role and any successful candidates will then come in for a face-to-face interview to meet the Warehouse Manager. We will aim to hire the successful candidate within 48 hours from the interview.
