37.50 a week – alternate weekends is a requirement

We are looking for a Housekeeper to join our enthusiastic team. The role’s main purpose is to provide a high quality cleaning service to our residents. If you are passionate about helping others and providing a comfortable environment for our service users then please apply with us today!

Eltisley Manor is our 37-bed registered psychiatric nursing care home located near to St-Neots town centre (Cambridgeshire). The building is divided into different specialist areas caring for men and women aged 18+ suffering from enduring mental health issues and for those people nearing the end of their rehabilitation towards independent living.

The role is based in St Neots – PE19 6SR, therefore if you drive and have access to your own transport then it will be feasible, otherwise, we do provide transport back/from the St Neots station/town centre.

Essential skills and responsibilities:

  • To clean specific areas in line with Company policy and national cleaning standards
  • To provide a cleaning service in accordance with approved methods, standards and frequencies
  • To use cleaning equipment, machinery and cleaning materials as directed
  • To work in accordance with the day to day tasks and activities, as assigned
  • To be aware of physical surroundings and comply with health and safety guidelines and legislation
  • Ensure that any accidents at work, defects with machinery and building defects are reported to the Head of Housekeeping or the senior manager in a timely manner, and in accordance with Company policy
  • To treat patients and service users with dignity and respect Ensure that confidentiality is maintained, when coming into contact with patients and service users
  • Ensure that premises are locked and secured upon completion of duties, where appropriate
  • Participate in any auditing as directed by the Head of House keeping
  • To maintain a professional appearance at all times and wear appropriate footwear
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training and attend other relevant training courses, as directed
