Production Assistant (Factory)

Position Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Assistant to join the South Shields Factory on a full-time permanent basis. This role will be key to supporting the Production teams, Team Leader and QC Technician in all ancillary activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Safety

  • Ensure that Health and Safety policies are adhered to.
  • Ensure that Safe Working Procedures are adhered to.
  • Supply replacement sewing needles to the production team and ensure all used needles or broken needle parts are accounted for in line with needle policy.

Quality

  • To ensure correct trims and labels are distributed to the production team.
  • To ensure that the correct cut work is loaded to the production line in line with production plan.
  • Ensure re-cuts are processed and delivered to the production team in a timely and accurate manner.

Cost

  • Report all machine breakdowns and issues to the maintenance department.

Delivery

  • Ensure production is moved from process to process in a smooth and orderly fashion.
  • To assist and participate with the Production Team leaders, Quality Technician and Operators in the process of new style introduction, to agreed standards and moved to the Finishing Department in a timely manner.

People

  • Undertake any other reasonable activity, as may be required by team leader or senior management.

Additional Information:

  • Must be able to work 4 days Monday-Thursday 36 hours – 07:45am-5:15pm.
