Main Purpose

You will perform a variety of duties involved in handling, making, preparing and maintaining of stock levels of resale items to include the operation of a manual or electric panel jack. You will work in one or more departments within the store (e.g., grocery, produce, meat, etc.) or performs a rotational assignment within all departments. Your duties will also include assisting with unloading incoming shipments, receiving supplies, equipment, resale items, verifying shipments, reporting discrepancies, and using proper stock rotation. You will also visually inspect and maintain adequate stock of perishable and non-perishable subsistence items, arranges and replenishes stock as necessary, determines prices and affixes selling price labels.

Knowledge and Experience Required - Applicants must demonstrate the following:

Working knowledge of the procedures for receiving and storing goods, supplies and equipment.

Knowledge and experience in stock control, shelf stacking and stock rotation.

Skill using manual or electric pallet jacks to move merchandise safely.

Ability to determine if meat/produce is damaged, deteriorated, discolored or packaging is leaking.

Ability to keep work areas and shelving clean and tidy and follow safety procedures and directives.

Ability to be trained to operate an electronic cash register.

  • Hours of work: Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization’s flexible working policies.
  • Will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
  • May be assigned other duties that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the employee.
  • May be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training. Position may be coded as mission essential.
  • A 6 -month probationary period will be required.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • May be required to travel overnight to US or other countries in the performance of official duties or attend necessary train.
