Administrator - Quality and Safety

Due to career advancement within the team we are currently seeking a full time administrator on a permanent basis.

We are looking for a committed and enthusiasticteam member, who will work closely with colleagues both internally and externally to provide the Safeguarding team with administrative support that will enable to the team to fulfil their statutory functions.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for ad-hoc cover of any administrative duties in relation to paediatric liaison administration required within the team and will, on occasions, provide administration support to the Head of service when required.

The successful candidate will work alongside the current administrator and other team members for safeguarding to provide administrative support including -
  • management of safeguarding concerns and enquiries internally and externally using Datix and ambulance systems to collect information and prepare for clinician review.
  • Data gathering and analysis to support quality practice.
  • Support the dissemination of learning and training.
  • Using excellent communication skills to build strong effective relationships with all internal and external partners.
  • Contribute to the audits and support compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and to manage conflicting demands on time and resources to deliver objectives through effective time management.
  • Provide administrative support as required for the Head of Service.
  • Provide administrative support as required to support the paediatric liaison service.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) serves over 5 million people in the Yorkshire region covering an urban and rural area of almost 6,000 square miles and operates over vastly differing terrain ranging from isolated moors and dales to city centres, large urban areas and coastal stretches. YAS provides 24 hour urgent and emergency healthcare services through our IUC and Emergency Communication centres.

The successful candidate will need to be a team player who is adaptable, self-motivated, and innovative.

The working hours of the safeguarding team are Monday-Friday 9-5pm and you will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

The base for this role is the Trust HQ at Springhill, Wakefield but currently the team are remote working from home. A review of working arrangements is currently underway but the ability to utilise online electronic systems such as Microsoft Teams is essential to support ongoing remote working.

There is a current expectation for attendance in HQ for some part of the week.

We are seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic individual who will:

This roles is currently hybrid working with a balance between Wakefield HQ and home working. Office hours are Monday -Friday 09:00 -17:00
