Maltby&Greek is an importer and distributor of fine food and drinks based in Bermondsey, South London. We supply restaurants and delis as well as retail customers across London and the UK.
We are looking for someone to join the warehouse team.
This is a permanent role and a chance to join a small but growing business and team with good prospects of job development. The main duties will be:
Stock Management
- Maintain stock organization with correct labelling and locations for all items
- Ensure correct stock rotation
- Maintain clean and tidy warehouse
- Transfer stock between locations to ensure adequate stock levels
- Weekly stock takes
- Update the inventory management system
- Record temperature and other safety checks
- Ensure adequate supplies of packaging and other materials required
- Maintain warehouse equipment in good working order
Goods-In
- Unload goods
- Record goods received and expiry dates
- Notify ordering of any discrepancies
- Land stock
- Ensure producer pricing is correct and all stock received is correct and with expected expiry dates
Prepare & Dispatch Customer Orders
- Pick and pack customer orders in a timely manner so they can be dispatched on time
- Ensure all orders are independently checked before dispatch
- Loading the vans and checking goods out
You will need to:
- Candidates should ideally have experience working in a warehouse
- The role is physically demanding and involves lifting of heavy goods
- Smart appearance and good hygiene. Food handling training will be provided.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
- Work well with a team
