King and Fowler UK are market leaders in the provision of surface treatment and special processes in the global aerospace industry. Due to increased workload King and Fowler are looking to recruit stores operative
Key Responsibilities :
To process customers’ orders through goods in and prepare parts for dispatch, with awareness of Health & Safety / Environmental / Quality aspects required within the company.
Role Specific Duties
· Process new orders received from customers through goods inwards; accurately check parts received against customers orders
· Entering initial order details onto the MRP system
· Prepare completed parts for dispatch to customer; handling parts with care and ensure they are packaged appropriately
· Be able to understand and follow internal and external SOP’s
· Achieve the production plan, ensuring that all the customers’ product is within specification required.
· Understanding and care of handling all parts
· Ensure acceptable quality levels are achieved
· Ensure all documentation relevant to the processing is followed and completed correctly
Statutory Duties
· Work in a safe manner in compliance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures alongside statutory requirements. Reporting any unsafe working practises / activities is essential.
· Work in a manner that will maintain compliance to compliance to the Environmental policies and procedures alongside statutory requirements. Reporting any potential environmental issues is essential.
Business Duties
· Continually review working practices to remove and reduce waste and non-value adding activities. Actively support and contribute to the continuous improvement programme.
· Participate in training activity within the company.
· Work with a minimum amount of supervision, supporting and maintaining good level of productivity in business.
· Positively support teamwork and circulation of experience within the workforce (through mentoring, knowledge sharing and development of standard operating procedures).
· Maintain good housekeeping in the work place and maintaining shadow boards / equipment provided.
FLT Licence would be an advantage
